The Wonder Called Sleep Question-Answer Solution

1. What is the most obvious advantage of sleep?

Sleep is the resting stage of the body. Day-to-day activities make our body tired. During sleep, our body muscles, as well as the brain, relaxes and we recover from the fatigue.

2. What happens to our body when we sleep?

When we sleep our body muscles relax, our heart slows down and even our brain slows down.

3. Define a dream in your own words.

While we sleep, our unconscious mind produces a virtual environment where we see various happenings and participate as a real person. Sometimes we are able to recall the dream and sometimes we can not.

4. Why are dreams important? Mention two reasons.

Most dreams are unrelated to us, but some dreams may point us about the current problems in the real world. Dreams also keep our brain engaged while we sleep. This keeps our body in the sleeping state despite the noise in the surrounding.

5. Why has sleep been called a wonder?

The exact mechanism of how we fall asleep is still unknown. Yet we know that sleep is necessary for us. Good sleep helps our body recover from fatigue and prepares the body to be active after sleep. Sleep rejuvenates our body and mind, so we call sleep a wonder.

6. Describe briefly to the class an improbable dream you have ever had.

Every dream differs from another and we see different dreams regularly. Most dreams are related to the present situation while some are unimaginable too.

Once I watched the Harry Potter series and was very immersed in it. During that night I saw myself as one of the students of Hogwart’s magic school flying on the broomstick and casting spells. It was fun when I dived around the mountains and my friends accompanied me.

Lullaby

The tradition of the singing lullaby is decreasing. In older days our grandparent used to sing a lullaby to make us asleep fast. One of them was Chanda mama door ke. This lullaby was about the imagination of the moon as a person. Watch this lullaby here: Chanda mama door ke Youtube.
