How are lungs designed in human beings to maximize the area of exchange for gases
Oxygen have low solubility in body fluids and cannot move fast to different parts of the body by diffusion. So humans and other animal have developed a specific mechanism for this. Here oxygen diffuses fast in lungs due to high surface area.
Every organism uses glucose as a source of energy. This process is called respiration During this process glucose in broken down into pyruvate. Which later is converted into other molecules.
