Where do plants get each of the raw material required for photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis requires Sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water. Sun provides the plant with ample sunlight while carbon dioxide is taken from the atmosphere. Guard cells of the stomata open the pores to take carbon dioxide. Roots of the plants absorb water from the soil and transport to leaves.
Some minerals act as a catalyst in the photosynthesis process and other related processes; like translocation of starch. These minerals are nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, molybdenum and boron. Roots absorb minerals from the soil along with water.
