Give three examples of the range of variations that you see in life-forms around you.
NCERT Class 9 Science Chapter 7 In-text question answer
The range of variations are the parameters through which we can classify two different organisms. A range of variations can be a physical variation like size, color, height. For example, An elephant is a big animal while a cat is a small animal; ree may be a few meters long while a shrub is only a few inches; butterflies carry numerous colors while many worms do not have any color.
When we will go further in reading we will find many range of variation. These are as follows.
Cell complexity: Helps us divide cells into prokaryotes (old type nucleus) and eukaryotes(new type nucleus). We divide Eukaryotes into unicellular or multicellular based on the number of cells.
The basis of classifications is many. To classify organisms we use the variations which help us in our living.
