1. Identify Distilled water, an acidic solution and a basic solution using Red litmus paper.

Answer:

A red litmus paper will turn blue in alkaline solution.

Now we have blue as well as red litmus paper. Dipping blue litmus paper in an acidic solution will turn the paper into the red.

Distilled water does not change the colour of the litmus paper. So, in distilled water, a red litmus paper will remain red and similarly, a blue litmus paper will remain blue only.
